When a Ride Series is created in RideIQ, the user who created the Ride Series is recorded as the trip organizer for that series. The trip organizer can edit or cancel the Ride Series, and they are the person who CareDrivers will contact with ride questions if you enable that option and the person who will receive automated lateness alert calls by default.
Other users in your account who have Trip Organizer- Limited Access permissions cannot edit a Ride Series created by another user. Account Admins and Trip Organizer - Full Access users can edit any Ride Series.
When to reassign a Ride Series organizer
You may choose to reassign the Ride Series organizer for one of the following reasons:
- The previous trip organizer has left your organization and you'd like to transfer management of their Ride Series to a new person.
- You would like to direct trip contacts and notifications to a different person.
How to reassign a Ride Series organizer
To assign the Ride Series to a new organizer, follow the steps below:
- Select any upcoming ride in the series.
- Click the arrow next to the Edit button and click Reassign Organizer.
- Select the new trip organizer for the series, then click Reassign Organizer.
- Review the number of upcoming scheduled rides that will be reassigned, then click Confirm to continue. All upcoming rides in the Ride Series will be assigned to the selected organizer, and they will be able to edit, add, and cancel rides in the series.
Review changes to the assigned ride organizer
All changes to a Ride Series ride organizer are tracked in the Ride Log on the Ride Series page. You can confirm the new ride organizer assigned, who made the change, and the date and time the change was made.
