Billed cancels are rides that your organization canceled close enough the scheduled pickup time that they incurred either a partial or full charge.
| Note: Billed cancels do not include riders who were removed from multi-rider rides that were completed for the remaining riders. To report on these rides, make sure you include Completed rides in your report filter settings. |
Use RideIQ Reporting to generate a report of billed cancels. You can further filter the billed cancels report by Rider, Rider Category, and Tags and group the results to gain more insights.
Follow the steps below to generate a billed cancels report:
- On the Reporting page, in Date, select the time period you want to report on. You can generate data for up to 12 months.
- In Filter by Status, select Billed Cancels and ensure no other statuses are selected. Any Billed Cancels that also qualify as rider delays will be included in the report when you select Billed Cancels.

- Select additional filters as desired. You can filter by:
-
Riders: By default, your report will include all riders. To see results for a specific rider or riders, remove the All Riders filter, then select all desired riders.
This option works best when reviewing results for a small number of riders. For larger groups, you may want to use the Rider Category or Tag options.
-
Categories: Use this filter to see results for all riders in the selected Categories. To select a specific Category or Categories, remove the All Categories filter, then select all desired Categories.

-
Tags: Use this filter to see results for rides with specific tags. Tags are created by your organization and apply at the ride level. To select a specific Tag or Tags, remove the All Tags filter, then select all desired tags.

-
Riders: By default, your report will include all riders. To see results for a specific rider or riders, remove the All Riders filter, then select all desired riders.
- For additional insights, use the Group by feature. You can choose:
-
None: see rides listed chronologically with no grouping. This is useful for seeing the overall number of billed cancel rides and total charges.
-
Rider: see billed cancels listed by rider. This is useful for identifying patterns in which riders are incurring lots of billed cancels. For multi-rider rides, the same ride will be listed under each rider, along with the amount charged for the cancellation for that individual rider.
-
Category: see billed cancel rides grouped by rider category. Use this grouping to check for patterns or identify charges from a specific transportation type. If riders on a multi-rider ride are in different categories, each rider will be listed under their respective category with the amount charged for that individual rider.
-
Residence district: see billed cancel rides grouped by the residence district of the riders. This applies to riders with shared billing only. Learn more about shared billing here.
