In order to ensure smooth, timely, and safe pickups and drop-offs, we recommend the following best practices when scheduling rides:
Drop-off rides
When scheduling rides to drop a rider off at school, we recommend scheduling drop-off at least a few minutes before the bell time to ensure that riders have time to get inside.
- For schools that offer breakfast or are otherwise open for riders to wait safely inside, consider scheduling rides as much as 20 minutes before the bell time.
- For larger campuses or schools with long drop-off lines, schedule the ride 10-15 minutes before the bell time.
- For riders with mobility issues who may need more time to get into the school, schedule the ride 10-15 minutes before the bell time.

Do not schedule drop-off significantly before the bell time:

Pickup rides
For rides picking up a rider from school, best practice is to schedule the pickup time 10 minutes after the bell time to allow riders time to leave the building and get to the vehicle. Consider adding additional buffer time for large campuses or schools that typically have long pickup lines.
| Do not schedule pickups earlier than the bell time to account for long pickup lines. This could result in the CareDriver arriving, waiting for the required wait time, and leaving before the rider is out of the building. |
