The Primary CareDriver + Program is an enhanced Ride Series option in which CareDrivers commit to driving the same Ride Series to provide more consistency for Riders. CareDrivers are compensated with an additional fare boost for their commitment to the series.
How the Primary CareDriver + Program works
Once your organization has added Primary CareDriver + to your contract, you can begin scheduling Primary CareDriver + Ride Series.
To designate a series as a Primary CareDriver + Rider Series, add the Primary CareDriver + tag when scheduling. Learn more about how to schedule Primary CareDriver + series in this article.
Once the Ride Series is scheduled, CareDrivers who have opted in to the Primary CareDriver + Program will be able to claim it in the marketplace. These are CareDrivers who have committed to driving the Ride Series consistently. Additionally, they are incentivized to continue to claim and complete rides in the series because they will receive a fare boost for each ride that increases over time.
| Note: While many CareDrivers choose to claim both the pickup and drop-off Ride Series for a given Rider, a Rider in the Primary CareDriver + Program may not have the same CareDriver for their morning and afternoon rides because they are scheduled as separate Ride Series. |
Caregiver communications
HopSkipDrive does not proactively notify Caregivers or Riders that their rides have been designated as Primary CareDriver + rides. However, you can find resources for communicating with Caregivers about the program here.
How to opt in to the Primary CareDriver + Program
The Primary CareDriver + Program is currently available in select areas only. If you are interested in adding Primary CareDriver + to your contract, contact your Account Manager.
