Authorized Individual groups are a way to designate which people may meet the rider at drop-off when the rider has a Must Be Met requirement. This could be a large group, such as all school staff, or more specific, such as Special Education staff.
Groups are defined by the verification requirements they must be able to fulfill and the escalation phone number that will be used to reach them, if needed.
Creating Authorized Individual groups
You can create up to five Authorized Individual groups for each location where a rider has Must Be Met enabled. Organize the groups based on the contact phone number that will be most helpful.

For example, a rider might have the following groups for drop-off at their elementary school:

To create a new Authorized Individual group, follow the steps below:
- On the rider's profile, select the location you want to add the Authorized Individual group to.
- Click Edit.
- If the location is not already designated as Must Be Met, select Rider must be met at drop-off. Click Create new group.

- Enter a name for the group. This name will only be displayed in RideIQ. Choose a descriptive name that will make sense to Ride Organizers.
- Enter the appropriate escalation phone number for the group. Choose a number that will consistently be available if the CareDriver has trouble locating an Authorized Individual.

- Select the appropriate verification requirements for the location. Note that Show organization ID should not be selected for residences or other locations that do not issue staff IDs.

- Click Add group, then click Save.

The Authorized Individual group will be added to location. Escalation numbers for all groups will be available to CareDrivers at drop-off.
