Riders who have phones or smart watches can see ride information and track their rides in real time using the Track My Ride page. The Track My Ride page is a webpage that is accessible by clicking on a link in a text shared directly with the rider for each ride--no app download required. The link should not be shared with anyone.
On the page, riders can find:
- CareDriver and vehicle information and pictures
- Live status updates as the CareDriver approaches and during the ride
- A map showing the planned route and current location in real time while the ride is in progress
- A direct link to message HopSkipDrive support
How riders can access the Track My Ride page
To access the Track My Ride page, a rider must have a phone number on their rider profile, and that phone number must be unique to them. Riders who share a phone number with a caregiver will not receive the link to the Track My Ride page. If desired, you can share these instructions for adding a rider phone number with caregivers.
Riders will receive a text message approximately 60-90 minutes before the ride begins with a link to the Track My Ride page. This link is unique to the ride and will expire when the ride is complete. Be sure to wait for the new message with a unique link for each ride.
Using the Track My Ride page
Riders can find the following information on the Track My Ride page:

CareDriver information
See the CareDriver's name and photo, as well as the license number and make and model of the car to look for at pickup.

Map and ride status
Riders can track their location in real time throughout the ride. Due to size constraints, the map is not available for riders viewing the Track My Ride page on a smartwatch.

Ride status and scheduled stops
See scheduled pickup and drop-off times, updated with actual arrival times at each stop in real time. -
Contact support
Message or call HopSkipDrive support at any time during the ride.
Privacy and security
To protect the privacy of riders and CareDrivers, the information on the Track My Ride page is limited, and the page is only accessible during an active ride.
- Only the rider's first name and last initial are shown. We never show the rider's full name.
- Only school addresses are shown. We never show the rider's home address.
- Rider notes and services are never shown.
Link sharing
Links to the Track My Ride page are for the use of the rider(s) on a ride only. Riders should not share or forward links with anyone, including parents or siblings. Anyone the link is shared with by a rider will be able to access the Track My Ride webpage for that specific ride. Every ride has its own unique link. The link for that ride will no longer be active after the ride completes.
