How Do I Use Pickup and Drop-off Notes?

Effective location instructions are essential to having a successful ride experience. These instructions specify important information about the pickup and drop-off locations for the CareDriver, such as which pickup line to wait in or where to meet the rider upon arrival. 

We recommend including information about:

• Routines at pickup and drop-off. Do riders need to be checked in or out with an adult? Are there other procedures to follow?
  
  
• Any additional information that may help a CareDriver, such as signage to look for or recommendations about where to park.
  
  

How CareDrivers see pickup and drop-off instructions

Pickup and drop-off instructions are shown in the CareDriver app throughout the ride. They can review instructions before they begin driving and again when they arrive at the pickup or drop-off location.

How to edit pickup and drop-off instructions

You can edit pickup and drop-off instructions from the Locations page or on the fly while creating or editing a ride. When you edit pickup and drop-off instructions for a location, those changes affect every ride using the location. To learn how to set rider-specific instructions for a location, see this article.

Edit instructions from the Locations page:

Follow the steps below to edit pickup and drop-off instructions for a location on the Locations page:

1. Select the desired location, then click Edit.
    
   
2. Under Instructions for all riders, make the desired changes. Click Save to confirm the changes.
   
   

Edit instructions when creating a ride:

Follow the steps below to edit pickup and drop-off instructions on the fly while scheduling a ride.

1. Next to the location, click Show, then click Edit. 
   
   
   
   
2. Make the desired changes, then click Save. Keep in mind that these changes will apply to all rides using the location.
