The number of rides available in your area will vary depending on the time of year and the number of rides needed near you. However, if you are consistently seeing only a few rides available, try the following tips to make sure you're seeing as many options as possible:
Adjust your search preferences
Your search preferences filter the rides you see. To see more rides, you can try:
- Increasing your Commute distance. This will show rides that start farther away from you.

- Expanding the Pickup time window you want to see rides for. This will show rides that start at a wider variety of times.

- Changing the address you are searching for Rides near. You may find more rides are available in a different part of town. If you do find that there are more rides available further away, you can try stacking several rides together to make the longer commute worthwhile. To adjust your search preferences, tap the search settings at the top of the Available Rides or Available Ride Series page. For detailed instructions and more information about what filters are available, see this article.

Claim rides farther ahead of time
HopSkipDrive rides are scheduled in advance, so you will see the most options available if you check for rides that are several days in the future. To check upcoming rides, use the calendar at the top of the Available Rides page. Scroll sideways to see future days, and tap a day to see the available rides on that date.

Add Advanced Qualifications to your profile
If you see locked rides, you can unlock those rides by adding an Advanced Qualification to your profile. Advanced Qualifications are additional requirements that some districts or schools have, such as CPR training. Learn more about available Advanced Qualifications and how to obtain them here.
Become a Primary CareDriver
To ensure you have consistent rides, you can claim a Ride Series and get exclusive access to rides and a predictable schedule. To see Ride Series you can claim, tap Series on the Available Rides page. You can learn more about Ride Series and becoming a Primary CareDriver here.
