Claiming a Ride Series

Many riders have consistent schedules and regularly need rides to the same locations at the same times. For CareDrivers who prefer a consistent schedule, predictable earnings, and the opportunity to drive the same rider repeatedly, we bundle these repeated rides into Ride Series.

As a CareDriver, you can claim a Ride Series to become the Primary CareDriver for that set of rides. You then have exclusive early access to claim rides in a series up to three weeks ahead of time. As long as you claim 80% of the rides in a Ride Series, you maintain your status as Primary CareDriver.

How to become a Primary CareDriver for a Ride Series

Follow the steps below to claim a Ride Series and become a Primary CareDriver:

  1. In the CareDriver app, Check for Available Rides. Tap Series to view available Ride Series that match your search filters.


    Found a ride you like?
    If you claim and complete an individual ride that is part of a series, you'll have the option to claim the rest of the series if it does not currently have a Primary CareDriver. If you see the message below, tap View and claim to review the available rides and claim the Ride Series.
     


  2.  Tap a Ride Series that you're interested in claiming. Scroll to the bottom of the Ride Details page and tap Review Rides and Claim. 



  3. You'll see a calendar showing the upcoming rides in the series. By default, all the rides are selected for you to claim. To unclaim selected rides, tap the date on the calendar. Rides within the next week are marked with an orange dot, which means they are currently available for other CareDrivers to claim. After you claim the Ride Series you will have exclusive access to rides in the series going forward.

    Check the claim bar at the bottom of the screen to make sure it is green, which means you have claimed enough rides (80%) to qualify as Primary CareDriver. 



  4. Tap Claim [x] Rides to claim the selected rides. To confirm that you want to become the Primary CareDriver, tap Claim.



  5. To maintain your status as Primary CareDriver, review and claim new upcoming rides in the series every Sunday after 12:00 PM (6:00 PM for CareDrivers on Pacific Time) on the My Ride Series page of the app. Learn more about claiming more rides in a series in this article.
