To ensure the safety of our riders, all CareDrivers in Missouri must undergo a background check through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MDHSS). This process identifies if an individual has any findings of child abuse or neglect.
To fulfill this requirement, you must register with the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR).
Step-by-step registration instructions
Follow these steps to complete your registration online:
- Visit the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry, linked here.
- Click Registration and select Register Online.

Click Is a Person Registered. Enter and confirm your Social Security Number (SSN), complete the CAPTCHA, and click search.
- Note: If you are already registered, please notify us immediately so we can update your profile.
- If no record is found, click Continue to proceed with the registration.

Under Employer Name, choose the "begins with" filter.
- Type HopSkipDrive INC and click Search.
- Select HopSkipDrive Inc from the search results and click Continue.
- Selection Criteria: When prompted, ensure you select Child Care as the category.
- Fill in your personal information. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
- Confirm your information in the pop-up window, then read and acknowledge the registration agreement.
- Complete the payment for the one-time registration fee of $15.55.
Fee costs
HopSkipDrive will credit you for the $15.55 registration fee once you have successfully completed your first ride.
How to get credited: Keep your payment receipt. After your first ride, submit your request through our Credit Request Form. Learn more about submitting for your credits here.
Final step: notify us
Once your registration is submitted, please let us know the date you registered so we can track the progress of your background check.
