To ensure the safety of our riders, all CareDrivers in Indiana must complete a child abuse and neglect screening through the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS). This check includes searches of the Child Protective Services (CPS) records and the Expanded Child Protective Index (CPI). You will complete this process via the KidTraks portal.
Step 1: Access the portal
You will receive two separate emails from KidTraks:
- Email 1: Contains your temporary password and a link to the CPI/CPS portal. Follow the prompts to set up your permanent login.
- Email 2: Prompts you to enter your address history and provide consent.
Important: You must check the consent box at the bottom of the screen. Without it, DCS will not receive your request and your onboarding will be delayed.
Step 2: Complete your address history
Validation errors most commonly occur in this section. To ensure your form is accepted, follow these key formatting rules:
- Start date: Provide history back to January 1, 1988.
- No gaps or overlaps: Dates must be continuous. If you moved out of one location in May 2012, the next entry must start in May or June 2012.
- Only fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required.
- For addresses outside Indiana, provide the state only. Street addresses and ZIP codes are not required.
- For addresses inside Indiana, provide the state, county, and city.
- Consolidate entries: If you lived in the same city or state across multiple addresses over several years, you can group them into one entry covering that date range.
