When unexpected issues like flat tires or traffic happen, HopSkipDrive works to quickly find a replacement CareDriver. ASAP rides are one of the pieces of HopSkipDrive tech that help get riders where they need to be on time.
ASAP rides are urgent rides displayed only to CareDrivers who are currently close to the pickup location. This way, we highlight the ride for the CareDrivers who are most likely to be able to pick up the rider in a timely manner. Once the CareDriver claims an ASAP ride, they are expected to start driving right away in order to arrive as close to the original scheduled time as possible.
If a ride's start time is approaching and the ride hasn't been claimed yet, it is automatically flagged as an ASAP ride. You do not need to take any action as a ride organizer and you will not see any tags or other indication in RideIQ.
