To ensure that all riders have a safe, positive experience, you can select specific needs, attributes, and accommodations in RideIQ. Once added to a rider profile, these rider requirements appear in the CareDriver app as CareDrivers complete the ride, along with specific instructions for how to support the rider.
In addition to the preset options, you can use the additional notes section to add any additional rider requirements or add more detail about a selected option.
To manage the rider requirements on a rider's profile, open the rider's profile and click Edit rider. Navigate to the Rider Services section. Refer to the table below for more information about each rider requirement.

| Behavior support | Rider behavior may change quickly. If selected, enter de-escalation techniques or known triggers. | Stay calm; avoid confrontation. Follow rider de-escalation notes. |
| Deaf or hard of hearing | Rider is deaf or hard of hearing. | Face the rider when you speak. Use hand gestures to help. |

| Simple English | Rider has limited English skills. | Use short, simple words. Ask yes/no to confirm. |
