Adjust the navigation settings as desired to create your preferred experience. To access navigation settings, open the Account section, then tap Settings.
You can adjust the following settings:
Use in-app navigation
- Turn this setting on to use Google Maps navigation within the CareDriver app. This allows you to open navigation without switching between apps.
- Turn this setting off to use a separate navigation app. If you have this setting toggled off, Google Maps will open automatically when you tap Start Navigation. If you prefer to use a different navigation app, you can copy and paste the address. Learn more in this article.
Audio settings
Use these settings to control navigation audio. You can choose:
- All audio: play all voice directions and alerts.
- Alerts only: silence turn-by-turn voice instructions but allow alerts.
- No audio: mute all audio.
You can also mute and unmute audio for an individual ride by tapping the speaker icon.
Map display
Control the color display settings for the in-app navigation. You can choose:
- Automatic: switch from day mode to night mode automatically.
- Day: always use light-colored day mode.
- Night: always use dark-colored night mode.
Avoid Toll Roads
Enable this setting to map only routes that do not include tolls. Should you decide to enable this setting, keep in mind that suggested leave times and arrival times are still calculated based on the fastest route, which may include tolls. You are responsible for arriving on time.
