August 13 2024 3:27pm

As part of the certification process, CareDrivers are asked to record and submit a video screening. You can learn more about the video screening and see step-by-step instructions in this article

If you are having trouble recording or submitting your video screening, please try the following troubleshooting steps.

  • If you see the message Hardware access denied or An error has occurred, try refreshing the page and be sure to allow access to your camera and microphone.

  • If you have multiple tabs open, close all other tabs and try again.

  • Try using a private browser window.

  • Ensure you are using the most up-to-date version of your browser. We recommend using Chrome.

  • Clear your browser settings, cache, and history and try again.

  • If you are using a phone, confirm that microphone and camera access are allowed in your settings:
    • Android: Open Chrome, select Settings > Site Settings and make sure Camera and Microphone are both enabled.
    • iOS: iOS: Open the Settings app, scroll down and select your browser app (i.e. Safari, Chrome, etc), and enable Camera and Microphone access.

  • If you are using an older device, try again on a newer device. Some devices are not compatible with video recording.

  • If you are using a phone, try recording and submitting your video on a computer instead.

  • If your device does not have a microphone or camera, you will need to use a device that has both a microphone and a camera.
