These instructions apply only to hopeful CareDrivers applying to drive in Bakersfield, California. If you are applying to drive somewhere else in California, refer to these instructions.
TB, medical exam & drug test
To complete your required health and safety screenings, follow the steps below. All appointments are scheduled through Mobile Health.
Step 1: Schedule your appointment

Go to the Mobile Health Patient Portal.

Log in using your personal email and authorization code HSDDOT.

Check your email for the 6-digit verification code and enter it to continue.

Select Organization: HopSkipDrive – Bakersfield CA.
- Click “Schedule Now” and complete only the required (*) fields.
Step 2: Select required services

Check the boxes for all required services:
- TB Risk Assessment
- DOT Physical

Drug Test
- If you already have a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (issued within the last 2 years) or TB clearance, upload your proof below and only schedule the remaining items.
Step 3: Appointment location
Your appointment must take place at the approved clinic below:

Please schedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day appointments will be rescheduled by the clinic.
Step 4: If additional TB testing is required
If your TB Risk Assessment indicates further testing is needed, please follow these steps:

Return to the Mobile Health Portal.

Log in with your email and authorization code HSDQFT.

Select Organization: HopSkipDrive – Bakersfield CA and click “Schedule Now.”

Select the following services:
- Quantiferon Blood Test (first, if required)

Chest X-Ray (only if blood test is positive)
-
Use the same Agile Occupational Medicine location.
Note: The cost of blood tests and chest X-rays are not covered by HopSkipDrive.
Step 5: Prepare for your appointment

Print and bring the TB & Medical Exam Packet.

Bring a government-issued photo ID.

Have your Mobile Health email confirmation ready to show at check-in.

Step 6: Requirements after your appointment
HopSkipDrive does not receive your results automatically. To move forward, please upload the following documents to your applicant portal:
- Your Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- Your TB results
