You must check in for every ride 60-90 minutes before the ride begins, or as soon as you complete the previous ride if you have rides scheduled back-to-back.
Checking in for the ride is important to assure riders and their Caregivers that they will get the support they need during the ride. If you do not check in at least 60 minutes before a ride, you will be removed.
Check-in reminders
You will receive reminders to check in via push notification and text message. Just before the end of the check-in window you will also receive an automated phone call prompting you to check in. However, you can check in Rides as early as 90 minutes before the ride. You do not need to wait for the phone call to check in.
How to check in for a ride
Follow the steps below to check in for a ride you have claimed as a Rider Assistant.
-
From the Home screen, tap Check-in available now. If you see a time listed instead of the word Now, wait until that time to check in.
-
Review the details of the ride. Pay particular attention to the Rider Details. This is where you will see specific information about about any specific rider needs. Tap Review more rider details to see all the rider information.
Note that you will see yourself listed as a rider on rides you participate in as a Rider Assistant. Rider Assistants are displayed this way to ensure the CareDriver knows when to pick up and drop off the Rider Assistant. -
Scroll to the bottom of the screen. Tap Check In.
-
Once you're checked in, confirm the pickup time and location where you will meet the CareDriver to help you plan when to leave. Copy and paste the address into the navigation app of your choice.
You are now checked in for the ride. You can close the app until it is time to leave.
