No. All HopSkipDrive account users must be18 years of age or older, as outlined in our Terms of Use. Caregivers and CareDrivers can manage accounts, but we ask that riders sit back and enjoy the ride.
However, while riders under 18 cannot manage their own accounts, they can receive information about their rides when you add a phone number to the Rider Profile. Riders with a phone number listed in their profile will receive a text message with the CareDriver's name, picture, and vehicle information before the ride and updates when the CareDriver is on the way.
The CareDriver will also be able to contact the rider to coordinate pickup. The rider's phone number is never revealed to the CareDriver. All communication takes place in the app.
