To be approved to complete HopSkipDrive rides, a vehicle must meet the following requirements:
- Is no more than 15 years old.*
- Has four doors.
- Passes an annual vehicle inspection.
- Is not rebuilt and does not have a salvage title.
In addition to these requirements, the vehicle should be clean and well maintained. When applying to drive with HopSkipDrive, you will be asked to provide current vehicle registration and insurance documents.
*Due to local regulations, vehicles in the following areas must be no more than 10 years old:
- District of Columbia
- Maryland
- Minneapolis
- Pennsylvania
- Seattle
