As a CareDriver, you can manage which notifications you receive depending on your needs. While you will always receive notifications about ride changes, cancellations, and text messages from Ride Organizers or Caregivers, you can turn Status Reminders and Urgent Ride Notifications on or off.
Access your notification settings
To manage your notification settings, follow these steps:
- Open the side menu and tap View Profile.
- Tap Settings.
Urgent Ride Notifications
Turn this setting on to receive notifications about urgent rides in your area. Urgent rides are rides that are starting soon and haven't yet been claimed by a CareDriver. Often, these rides include an additional fare boost on top of the base CareDriver fee.
You will only receive urgent ride notifications for rides that are close to your current location. Tap the notification to open the CareDriver app and claim the ride.
Status Reminders
Status Reminders are automatic notifications that will remind you to update your status in the CareDriver app when you arrive at your destination. When you are within a few blocks of the pickup or drop-off location and your car slows down, you'll get a reminder to tap I've arrived in the CareDriver app. Some CareDrivers find these reminders helpful to make sure their on-time arrivals are tracked correctly.
