Schedule Change Notifications

As a Caregiver, you receive detailed information about your rider's schedule via text message. This article lists all the communications you can expect to receive about your rider's rides. Don't forget that you can also track rides in real time, view your rider's schedule, and cancel rides you don't need with the HopSkipDrive App.  

If you would like your rider to receive these same schedule updates, make sure you have added their phone number to their Rrder profile. Learn how to add a rider phone number here. 

 

Ride scheduling notifications:

If you monitor rides scheduled by a school district or other organization, you'll receive an SMS message when:

  • A ride or Ride Series is scheduled, including dates, times, and pickup and drop-off locations.
  • A ride or Ride Series is edited, including changes to dates, times, or pickup/drop-off locations.
  • A ride or Ride Series is canceled for your rider. If the morning ride for your rider is canceled and they have ride in the afternoon as well, you'll receive a text message asking whether the afternoon ride is still needed. You can cancel the afternoon ride in the app or by replying to the message. 
  • Your rider has a ride scheduled for the following day. The nigh before the ride you'll receive an SMS with information about the next day's rides.

Ride status and CareDriver information

All caregivers will receive the following SMS updates about ride status:

  • A message when a CareDriver is on their way to pick up your rider. This message includes the CareDriver's name, picture, and information about their vehicle. Learn more here.
  • If applicable, a message if the CareDriver is delayed.
  • A message when the CareDriver arrives, including a reminder of your rider's code word. 
  • A message when the CareDriver picks up your rider.
  • A message when the CareDriver drops off your rider.
     

Direct messages from the CareDriver:

The CareDriver may also text or call you directly if they have questions or concerns during the ride. Both your phone number and the CareDriver's phone number are anonymized for your privacy.
