It is critically important that all riders are picked up and dropped off at the time scheduled in the app. If you arrive at the pickup location before the scheduled time, wait until the scheduled time to pick up the rider. When you arrive early, caregivers and riders receive a text notification informing them that you have arrived and confirming that you will wait until the scheduled pickup time or, if necessary, until the wait time countdown is complete.
Please avoid contacting the caregiver or rider to ask them to come outside before the scheduled time, as this may create unnecessary pressure or disrupt their schedule.
You'll see a warning message like the one below if you start the pickup process early. Please wait to tap Pick up [rider] until the rider is at the car, ready to go. 
For safety reasons, riders may not be able to be dropped off early. Buildings may be locked or not have adults present until the scheduled drop-off time. If you arrive at the drop-off location early, you may need to wait in the car with the rider until it is safe to drop them off.
