When should I leave?
When you check in for a ride, you'll see a suggested time to leave by. This time is a suggestion to help you plan, but you should confirm the best time to leave based on your location and current traffic conditions. 
| Note: The suggested time is based on your location at the time you check in. If you'll be on another ride or otherwise leaving from a different place, be sure to double-check when you should leave using another navigation app. |
Driving to pick up a rider
When it's time to leave, follow these steps to drive to the first pickup.
- Review the location instructions for the pickup. Location instructions often have important information about where to find riders or what to do when you arrive.
- Tap I'm On My Way! when you're ready to start driving.
- Tap Start Navigation to open Google Maps and begin navigating to the pickup location.
Can I use a different navigation app?

When you reach the pickup location, tap I've arrived.
Note: Be sure to follow any specific directions in the Location instructions. For example, you may need to drive to a specific part of the parking lot or use a certain driveway.
