Some rides for the School District of Philadelphia are Monitor Rides (also called attendant rides). These rides require two CareDrivers and follow a slightly different process from regular HopSkipDrive rides. You can read more about the Monitor Ride process in this article.
The school sign-in process
As the Monitor CareDriver, each time you pick the Rider up from school or drop them off at school, you must sign in with a teacher or administrator. The Main CareDriver does not need to sign in.
Some schools will have a tablet they use for this process, but many will use a paper sign-in sheet. You are responsible for bringing the printed sign-in sheet with you on the ride to be signed by the school official.
Click here to download a copy of the sign-in sheet.
Sign in via printed sign-in sheet:
If the school does not have a working tablet or you do not have your SDP badge:
- Present the printed sign-in sheet to the teacher or administrator to initial and sign.
- In Route Number write the 4-digit route number found in the Rider notes
- In Vendor, write HopSkipDrive
- Each Friday, take a clear picture or scan of your sign-in sheet for the week and email it to help@hopskipdrive.com.
Sign in via tablet:
If the administrator or teacher with the Rider has a district tablet, show your SDP badge to be scanned and enter the 4-digit route number. You can find the route number in the Rider notes.
If you do not have your badge, use the printed sign-in sheet as described above.
