You can add or edit a phone number for your rider in the HopSkipDrive app. This number is in addition to your contact information as a caregiver and should not be the same as your phone number. When a rider has a phone number included in their account, they will:
- Receive texts with ride schedule information, including dates, times, and pickup and drop-off locations.
- Receive a text before their rides with the CareDriver's name, picture, and information about their vehicle.
- Receive text updates when the CareDriver is on the way to pick them up.
- Receive calls or texts from the CareDriver if needed, such as to help coordinate pickup.
| Worried about privacy? CareDrivers can never see the rider's phone number. CareDrivers can only contact the rider using the app. |
How to add a rider phone number
Follow the steps below to add a rider phone number:
- On the side menu, tap Profile.
- Tap Riders, then select the rider you want to edit.

- Under Phone Number, enter the rider's phone number. Tap Save to confirm your changes.
