The Must Be Met requirement is an optional safety setting that Ride Organizers can enable when they schedule rides. When the setting is enabled, CareDrivers are required to ensure the rider is met by a designated Authorized Individual at drop-off.
In most cases, this setting is enabled when your rider is dropped off at school. In this case, you do not need to take any action as a caregiver. The Ride Organizer will designate Authorized Individuals to meet your rider. The Authorized Individual will be required to verify their identity by showing a staff ID and stating the rider's name and birthday (these requirements can be set by the Ride Organizer and may vary).
Must Be Met for caregivers
If your rider has a Must Be Met designation when they are dropped off at their residence, you or another Authorized Individual must be present to meet the rider when they are dropped off.
How do I know if my rider has a Must Be Met requirement?
If your rider has a Must Be Met requirement when being dropped off at their residence, you will receive a text message reminder when your rider has been picked up and is on their way. The text message will say that you or another authorized individual must be present.
Who can be an Authorized Individual?
Authorized Individuals can be parents, guardians, family members, babysitters, or any responsible adult who can meet the rider when they are dropped off. The person meeting the rider should be ready to confirm the rider's name and birthday.
