If you monitor rides managed by a school district or other organization, you can cancel rides using the HopSkipDrive app. You also have the option to cancel upcoming rides by texting HopSkipDrive. This automated cancellation is available for rides that are starting within approximately one day. To cancel rides that are further in the future, please use the HopSkipDrive app or call or text HopSkipDrive support at 844-HOP-SKIP.
You can cancel a ride via text message any time before the CareDriver arrives at pickup.
How to cancel rides via text message
To cancel an upcoming ride, follow the steps below:
- Text "cancel rides" to 844-HOP-SKIP (844-467-7547).
- You'll receive an automated reply listing any upcoming rides that are available for automated cancellation. The rides will numbered.
- Reply to the text with one or more numbers to indicate which ride(s) you want to cancel.

The system will automatically cancel the rides you indicate. You'll receive a confirmation text listing the rides that have been canceled.
Note: if you did not mean to cancel the rides, please call 844-467-7547 immediately so HopSkipDrive can rebuild the rides and ensure your rider gets the transportation they need.
What if I don't want to cancel any rides?
If you receive a text about automated cancellation from HopSkipDrive but don't want to cancel any rides, reply "NO". No rides will be canceled. If you need help with something else, reply "Support" to be connected to a Support Specialist.
I know my rider has upcoming rides, why weren't they listed in the text?
Automated cancellation is available for rides that are taking place within approximately one day. If your rider has additional rides in the future, they will not be listed in the text. You can still cancel any future rides using the HopSkipDrive app or by replying "Support" to reach a live Support Specialist.
