The HopSkipDrive app must use location information from your phone to work properly.
A CareDriver’s location information is used to calculate earnings from rides and for insurance purposes. Location information also allows Caregivers and Ride Organizers to receive timely and accurate information while the ride is being performed.
If you're having trouble with poor location tracking, try these tips:

Update your phone's operating system and the CareDriver app: You should have the most up-to-date versions of your phone's operating system and the CareDriver app.

Location Services: Confirm that your phone location settings are configured to allow the CareDriver app to use your location While Rides and that use precise location is enabled for the CareDriver app. To access these settings on iOS (iPhone) follow these steps. On an Android phone, open Settings, tap Location, then tap the CareDriver App.

Restart your phone: Restarting your phone is a great way to help reset things.

Turn off your wifi: If you have your wifi turned on, your phone may try to connect to a weak wifi signal in the area.

Use a phone mount: For the best reception, we recommend you place your phone on your windshield or dashboard using a phone mount.

Open the CareDriver app before your ride begins: It may take a moment for your phone to establish a good GPS signal.When possible, open the CareDriver app a few minutes before checking in for a ride.

Don't use a thick phone case: Some thick, heavy-duty phone cases can reduce cellular signal.

Charge your phone while driving: Sometimes phones attempt to conserve battery by reducing location tracking. Keeping your phone plugged in will help with location tracking even if your phone is fully charged.

Avoid phone calls while driving: Certain devices/networks do not allow phone calls and data usage at the same time.
- Upgrade your phone: Some older phones may receive a poor GPS signal due to an outdated GPS antenna.
