To ensure that your payment can be processed successfully, HopSkipDrive places a pre-authorization hold on the credit card you have on file 8 hours before the ride start.
If this pre-authorization hold is declined, the scheduled ride will be canceled and you will be notified via email. Please note that pre-authorization holds are approved or declined by the issuer of your card, not HopSkipDrive. In many cases you can resolve the issue by updating your payment information in the hopSkipDrive app.
Once you have updated your payment, you must re-schedule the ride. Please keep in mind that all rides must be scheduled no later than 7:00 PM the day before the ride if the ride will be before 10:00 AM, or at least 8 hours ahead of time for rides after 10:00 AM.
