For riders between four and six years old who meet the height and weight requirements to ride in a car seat, Ride Organizers have the option to add a Car Seat Rider Service for HopSkipDrive rides. When this Rider Service is enabled, rides can only be claimed by a CareDriver with an approved car seat who has received education about safely installing car seats.
Pickup and drop-off for car seat rides
CareDrivers will arrive for the ride with the approved car seat installed. You or another caregiver must secure the rider in the car seat and unbuckle them when they arrive. At school (or similar locations) a staff member will buckle or unbuckle the rider. In accordance with HopSkipDrive's physical contact policy, CareDrivers are not permitted to buckle riders in or unbuckle them, except in an emergency where necessary for the safety of the rider.
When buckling your rider into the car seat, confirm that the car seat is safely installed.
