Some school district partners require CareDrivers to complete a Mandated Reporter/Child Abuse Prevention training to claim their rides. If this applies to you, HopSkipDrive will enroll you directly and cover the cost of the training, if you wish to participate and claim those rides.
You do not need to create your own account or search for the training yourself.
- Watch your inbox for an email titled Training Reminder from Mandated Reporter Training (noreply@mandatedreportertraining.info). This email is sent automatically once HopSkipDrive enrolls you, and it's safe to open.
- Click Start Now in that email to begin the training.
- Complete the course and exam. The training takes less than two hours. To pass, you must score 80% or better on the exam. If you do not pass, you may retake it as many times as you need.
- When you pass, you'll receive a certificate of completion. Upload it using this form to add this qualification to your profile.
Please note that this training is created by a third-party training provider, and the content is not in HopSkipDrive's control. If you have a reasonable suspicion that a rider has been, or is in danger of, abuse or neglect, please first report it to Child Protective Services (CPS) or Adult Protective Services (APS) and inform HopSkipDrive that you have done so. State-specific information can be found here.
What happens if I don't complete this training?
If you don't complete this training, you'll be restricted from claiming the specific rides that require this qualification. You'll still have access to your other rides. You can complete the training at any time, and access to the restricted rides will unlock as soon as your certificate is processed.
Do I need to renew this training?
Yes, this training is required annually. We'll send you a reminder before it's due for renewal.
I was told HopSkipDrive would enroll me, but I haven't received anything. What do I do?
