How much will I earn for a referral?
When you refer someone who meets the minimum qualifications to become a CareDriver, you can earn $20 when they complete the sign-up process and HopSkipDrive approves their submitted documents. You can receive an additional $100 when the person you referred completes their first ride. Terms and Conditions apply.
What are the minimum qualifications to become a CareDriver?
CareDrivers must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have caregiving experience with children
- Have a four-door vehicle that is not more than 15 years old*
- Be able to pass a comprehensive background check
- Live in an area HopSkipDrive serves
- Meet all detailed requirements listed here.
* Vehicles must be no more than 10 years old in the following areas: D.C., Maryland, Minneapolis, Pennsylvania, Seattle.
How can I refer someone to become a CareDriver?
Follow the steps below to refer a qualified CareDriver:

On the side menu, tap Refer & Earn.
- Tap Share referral.

Enter the full name and email address of the person you’d like to refer. Tap Send message to send an email with a referral link and code. Both the link and code are unique to you. The person you refer must use the link or enter the code you send when they sign up for you to receive your bonus payment correctly.

Optionally, tap Follow up with a personalized message to send a personal text to the person you referred. You can also tap the upload icon to share your referral link directly.
What happens after I refer someone?
Once the person you refer signs up using your referral link, they’ll begin the application process to become a CareDriver. Once HopSkipDrive has approved their submitted documents, you will receive your first referral payment.
You can track your referred CareDriver’s progress in the Refer & Earn section of the app. Check the app to see when they pass through each stage of certification.
When your referral completes their first ride, you will receive your additional earnings.
Can I refer multiple people?
Yes! You can refer as many people as you like. Please note that you are limited to sending 10 email invitations per day, but you can always share your referral code with all of your qualified friends.
