What is a CareDriver Mentor?
A CareDriver Mentor is an experienced CareDriver who signs up to support new CareDrivers.
Why become a CareDriver Mentor?
Becoming a HopSkipDrive CareDriver mentor is a great opportunity to become more involved in the CareDriver community. Not only are you helping CareDrivers, but you also have the opportunity to earn more money! CareDriver Mentors can:
- Earn $5 for every ride each of their mentees completes for 45 days from the date the mentor is paired with the mentee (“Mentor Earning”).
- Help grow the local CareDriver community
- Support new CareDrivers to help them become confident, experienced CareDrivers
Tips for CareDriver Mentors
- Check in with mentees once a week
- Encourage mentees to continue claiming rides
- Be available to answer any general questions your mentees may have

How many mentees will I have?
Mentors may be matched with up to two mentees at a time.
What is the time commitment?
This is completely up to you! You can choose when and how you check in with your mentees.
Who is eligible to be a CareDriver Mentor?
Eligibility to be a mentor is based upon the CareDrivers with the highest number of trips completed in the past year within a metro, and, from those, the CareDrivers with the lowest driver-initiated late cancellations (cancellations within 12 hours of the ride start time). Mentorship opportunities are limited at this time and will be available on an invitation-only basis for qualifying mentors. This opportunity is currently available only in select markets.
Can I earn more by being a CareDriver Mentor?
Yes! Mentors will receive $5 for every ride each of their mentees completes during the first 45 days after they are paired with the mentee.
When will I see my earnings for being a CareDriver Mentor?
Payment for all rides completed by all mentees will appear on your invoice within 2 weeks following the end of the promotional period.
Who are the mentees?
Mentees are newly certified CareDrivers who have not yet completed their first ride or have completed fewer than 15 rides.
How am I matched with a mentee?
HopSkipDrive will match you with mentees in your metro.
How long will this opportunity last?
Mentorship is an ongoing opportunity, and you may periodically be matched with new mentees.

Promotion eligibility and approval is determined at the sole discretion of HopSkipDrive.
Eligibility for activation or reactivation of a CareDriver account is not guaranteed.
Participation in any promotion is subject to the HopSkipDrive Terms of Use. HopSkipDrive reserves the right to deny any promotion in the event of suspected fraud or abuse.
Promotions are only valid for those who meet the eligibility requirements associated with the promotion. Promotions run for a limited time and may be changed, altered or halted at any time at HopSkipDrive’s discretion. Promotion and terms are subject to change.
If payment is owed pursuant to this promotion, the payment will appear on the CareDriver invoice received two weeks after the promotion period closes.
CareDrivers are responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes on promotions. For purposes of this promotion, each mentor may have up to two mentees at a time. Maximum payment to a CareDriver Mentor is $1,000 per mentee.

Only completed rides by mentees during the promotional period count toward the eligibility requirements. Rides with multiple Riders and/or multiple pickup or drop-off locations will count as one ride. Canceled rides do not count toward the number of rides completed.
