Promotion Terms and Conditions

From time to time, HopSkipDrive offers earnings promotions and reward programs ("Promotions"). These may include, but are not limited to, earning guarantees or referral rewards. All Promotions are subject to the following general terms and conditions, and any corresponding special terms and conditions specific to that Promotion.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. Promotions are not a promise or guarantee of future earnings. 
     
  2. Promotion eligibility and approval is determined at the sole discretion of HopSkipDrive.
     
  3. Eligibility for activation or reactivation of a CareDriver account is not guaranteed. 
     
  4. Participation in any Promotion is subject to the HopSkipDrive Terms of Use. HopSkipDrive reserves the right to deny any Promotion in the event of suspected fraud or abuse.
     
  5. Promotions are only valid for those who meet the eligibility requirements associated with the Promotion. Promotions run for a limited time and may be changed, altered, or halted at any time at HopSkipDrive’s discretion. Promotion and terms are subject to change.
     
  6. If there are two or more incentives that have overlapping time periods, CareDrivers are only eligible for the earliest incentive after their activation date, unless otherwise stated.
     
  7. Promotion terms may vary, and may be changed at HopSkipDrive’s discretion. For example, your promotion terms and reward amount may be different depending on location.
     
  8. Promotions may be communicated by text, email, in-app, or push notification, at HopSkipDrive’s discretion.
     
  9. For purposes of promotions, a “week” is defined as Monday at 12:00am through Sunday at 11:59pm.
     
  10. Unless otherwise specified, if payment is owed pursuant to a Promotion, the payment will appear on the CareDriver invoice received two (2) weeks after the week in which the CareDriver is determined to have met the eligibility criteria.
     
  11. CareDrivers are responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes on Promotions.
     
  12. HopSkipDrive reserves the right to change, end, or pause, in whole or in part, any Promotion, as well as any individual’s ability to participate in any Promotion or receive earnings at any time for any reason, including suspected fraud, abuse or any violation of any agreement that exist between you and HopSkipDrive.
     
  13. HopSkipDrive may update its Promotions at any time. Continued participation in any Promotion after any update will mean that you have agreed to the update.
     
  14. Testimonials appearing in promotions are actually received in various forms via a variety of submission methods. They reflect the real life experiences of those who have used HopSkipDrive products and/or services. However, they are individual experiences and they do vary. HopSkipDrive does not claim, nor should a reader assume, that they are typical experiences that all individuals will generally achieve. The testimonials are not necessarily representative of all of those who will use HopSkipDrive's products and/or services. Additionally, the testimonials displayed (text, audio, images and/or video) are given verbatim except for correction of grammatical or typographical errors. Some have been shortened. Finally, HopSkipDrive is not responsible for the opinions or comments posted in promotion testimonials, and does not necessarily share the opinions, views or commentary of testimonials. All opinions expressed are strictly the views of the poster or reviewer. All testimonials are reviewed for authenticity before they are posted for public viewing.

Earnings Guarantees
 

From time to time, HopSkipDrive offers Earnings Guarantee promotions, where new or existing CareDrivers are guaranteed to earn at least a predefined amount of money for completing a certain number of rides within a set period of time. If you don’t make the Earnings Guarantee amount on your own after qualifying for the promotion, HopSkipDrive will guarantee the additional earnings. For example, if an Earnings Guarantee promotion guarantees a CareDriver will earn up to $1,000 by completing 30 rides within 30 days from the CareDriver’s activation date, HopSkipDrive will guarantee an additional amount of $80 if the CareDriver meets the eligibility requirements and only earns $920.

Earnings Guarantee Special Terms and Conditions

  1. Earnings promotions are valid for CareDrivers who sign up on or after the specified promotion start date (if applicable) and who meet the eligibility requirements specified in the promotion. HopSkipDrive reserves the right to specify an end date for the promotion or stop it at any time at its sole discretion.
     
  2. Only completed rides count toward the eligibility requirements. Carpool rides will count as one Ride toward the minimum ride requirement. Canceled rides do not count toward the number of rides completed.
     
  3. All ride earnings, whether from completed trips, paid cancels, or due to Proposition 22 (for CA CareDrivers), count toward the total earnings calculation used to determine if additional earnings will be awarded. Tolls do not count toward the ride earnings.
     
  4. Offer terms such as the number of trips and reward amount may vary by location and time of sign up and may be changed at HopSkipDrive's discretion. 
     

Referral Promotions
 

From time to time, HopSkipDrive may invite you to participate in one of its referral Promotions, where you can earn by referring qualified prospective CareDrivers (“Referral Promotion”). These Referral Promotions vary. In addition to the General Terms and Conditions, all Referral Promotions are subject to the Referral Promotions Special Terms and Conditions and the specific terms and eligibility requirements of the particular Referral Promotion.

Referral Promotions Special Terms and Conditions
 

  1. The CareDriver must meet the terms and eligibility requirements specified in the Referral Promotion during the time period specified in the Referral Promotion.
     
  2. Referring CareDrivers participating in a Referral Promotion must share their unique referral code with prospective CareDrivers.
     
  3. A CareDriver must have completed at least one (1) ride to participate in the Referral Promotion.
     
  4. By accepting and sharing your referral link or code or by signing up with a referral link or code, you are agreeing to be bound by these Referral Rules.
     
  5. HopSkipDrive has the right to limit the number of times you may use or share your referral link or code based on the Referral Promotion in which you participate. To see if your link or code has a limit, refer to the terms of the specific Referral Promotion in which you are participating. 
     
  6. Referral Promotions may only be available in select markets. Only qualifying CareDrivers affiliated with those select markets may be eligible.
     
  7. Any violation of these terms and conditions will not only prevent you from participating in any HopSkipDrive Referral Promotion (now or in the future), but could also result in the forfeiture or retraction of HopSkipDrive credits, money, or other rewards earned through Promotions and even the deactivation of your account.
     
  8. Where applicable, for purposes of Referral Promotions, a single “ride” may include multiple pickups or drop-offs and/or multiple Riders, but is still considered a single ride if scheduled together by the Ride Organizer. Canceled rides do not count toward the Promotion. You will only receive earnings for completed rides.
     
  9. A Qualified Referral is an individual who meets the following HopSkipDrive minimum CareDriver eligibility requirements and is located in a region where new CareDrivers are needed:
     
    • Be at least 21 years old
    • Have caregiving experience
    • Have access to a 4-door vehicle that is no more than 15 years old (or 10 in select areas)
    • Have a good driving record
    • Must not have previously been a CareDriver or signed up to be a CareDriver.
       
  10. To receive earnings for referring someone, your referee/invitee must (a) meet the eligibility criteria noted in the referral invite or offer; (b) use your referral link or code when they sign up to drive or activate the offer, as is applicable; (c) complete the specific number of rides within the time period specified by the Promotion, as applicable; and (d) take any other actions required by the specific Referral Promotion. Your referees/invitees can be referred only once, so if someone else has referred them and they have accepted that invitation they will not be able to accept yours.
     
  11. Certified CareDrivers will be notified via the HopSkipDrive application if there is an applicable Referral Promotion running in their area.
     
  12. Referral links or codes must be used only for personal and non-commercial purposes. You agree that you will not:
     
    • Duplicate, sell, or transfer your referral link or code in any manner or make it available to the general public (such as by printing it on business cards; posting it on a coupon website, job website or using it as part of a job application, including but not limited to the following website and applications Amazon, EBay, Fiverr, Craigslist, RetailMeNot, Reddit, Wikipedia, Gumtree, Moneysavingexpert, Groupon or using paid social media or paid search);
       
    • Try to get referees/invitees by spamming, bulk emailing, or sending large numbers of unsolicited emails. The only people you should be emailing are people you know personally;
       
    • Use, display, or manipulate HopSkipDrive’s intellectual property (such as HopSkipDrive's logos, trademarks, and copyright-protected works) in any way, except as to identify yourself as a HopSkipDrive User or HopSkipDrive referrer/inviter;
       
    • Create or register any (i) businesses, (ii) URLs, (iii) domain names, (iv) software application names or titles, or (v) social media handles or profiles that include the word "HopSkipDrive" or any of HopSkipDrive's other trademarks or any words that are confusingly similar to HopSkipDrive's trademarks;
       
    • Use HopSkipDrive's trademarks as your social media profile picture or wallpaper or use any of HopSkipDrive's copyright-protected works (such as graphics, photos, images, drawings, and screenshots from HopSkipDrive's website or app); Purchase keywords (including, but not limited to Google AdWords) that contain any of HopSkipDrive's trademarks;
       
    • Use automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute, post, or otherwise share your referral link or code;
       
    • Use scripts or programmed or automatic dialers to send invites or otherwise share your referral link or code;
       
    • Make misleading claims about HopSkipDrive, use offensive/abusive content, create fake websites/webpages/social media profiles/apps, misrepresent your connection to HopSkipDrive, or otherwise make any false or misleading statements to get a referee/invitee to use your link or code; or
       
    • Use your referral link or code in any manner that violates the law or the rights of anyone else.

Universal Referral Program Terms and Eligibility Requirements

  1. You can earn a one-time, lump-sum payment when a Qualified CareDriver you refer completes their first Ride, as specified in the HopSkipDrive application.
     
  2. Under the Universal Referral Program, earnings will appear on the CareDriver invoice received 1 week after a Qualified CareDriver completes their first Ride.

VIP Referral Program Terms and Eligibility Requirements

  1. The VIP Referral Program is limited. Refer to the specific communications regarding the VIP Referral Program in your community for space limitations.

  2. CareDrivers who participate in the VIP Referral Program will receive the following benefits:
     

    • Earn $20 for each Qualified Referral (see below) who uses your referral code during the VIP Referral Period.
    • Earn $10 for each ride completed by a Qualified Referral you refer during the VIP Promotion Period.
       

    Refer to the specific VIP Referral Program communications for details regarding VIP Referral Periods. VIP Referral Periods may vary by market.
     

  3. A Qualified Referral is an individual who meets the following HopSkipDrive minimum CareDriver eligibility requirements and is located in a region where new CareDrivers are needed:
     
    • Be at least 23 years old
    • Have at least 5 years of caregiving experience
    • Have access to a 4-door vehicle that is no more than 10 years old
    • Have a good driving record
    • Must not have previously been a CareDriver or signed up to be a CareDriver
       
  4. Opting in to the VIP Referral Program waives your participation in the Universal Referral Program. Additionally, you will only receive earnings under the Universal Referral Program for all Qualified Referrals who signed up before you opted in to the VIP Referral Program.
     
  5. You can opt out of the VIP Referral Program and return to the Universal Referral Program one (1) time. However, you cannot return to the VIP Referral Program after opting out.
     
  6. Earnings will be provided no later than fourteen (14) days from the VIP Promotion Conclusion.
     
  7. At the conclusion of the VIP Referral Program, all opted-in CareDrivers will automatically be re-eligible for HopSkipDrive’s Universal Referral Program if such program is then available in the CareDriver’s market. In such cases, you will be eligible for earnings under the Universal Referral Program for all Qualified Referrals who were not certified at the conclusion of the VIP Promotion Conclusion.
     
  8. Referral Promotions may be available in select markets only. Only qualifying CareDrivers affiliated with those select markets and who sign up to participate in the promotion may be eligible.

 

Milestone Promotions
 

HopSkipDrive may offer promotions upon the completion of certain milestones. For example, when a CareDriver achieves 100 completed rides.

Milestone Promotions Special Terms and Conditions
 

  1. Milestone promotions can be combined with other promotions or incentives.
     
  2. Milestone promotions may expire if not redeemed within the timeframe specified by the reward notification.

Primary CareDriver Promotion

For a limited time in select markets, HopSkipDrive is offering its Primary CareDriver Pilot Promotion. Eligible CareDrivers who claim designated ride series may receive additional earnings for rides completed in that series during the promotional term, with additional earnings available for remaining Primary CareDriver on the eligible series throughout the entire promotion term.

 

Primary CareDriver Pilot Promotion (or “PCD+ Pilot”) Special Terms and Conditions

  1. Only eligible CareDrivers in select markets may sign up to participate in a PCD+ Promotion. Eligibility criteria are set at the sole discretion of HopSkipDrive.
     
  2. Participation in a PCD+ Promotion is limited. Eligible CareDrivers must follow sign-up instructions provided and receive confirmation of successful sign-up in order to participate. Space is limited.
     
  3. The term of each PCD+ Promotion shall be clearly identified in the sign up instructions (“Promotion Term”). Only Rides completed during a Promotion Term are eligible for the PCD+ Promotion. Full and partially-paid canceled Rides count toward the PCD+ Pilot promotion as a “completed Ride” provided that the CareDriver remains in Primary CareDriver status. The term of the PCD+ promotion in Denver ("PCD+ Pilot") is February 27, 2023 through April 30, 2023.
     
  4. Rides completed by an eligible CareDriver and individually cancelled Rides shall count towards a PCD+ Promotion provided the Ride Organizer does not cancel the entire Ride Series and the CareDriver remains in Primary CareDriver status. If a Ride Organizer cancels the eligible Ride Series prior to the conclusion of the Promotion Term, the CareDriver will receive the additional bonus per Ride completed on the eligible Ride Series through the time of the Ride Organizer’s cancellation provided that the CareDriver is still the Primary CareDriver on that eligible Ride Series at the time of cancellation.
  5. For purposes of a PCD+ Promotion, to maintain Primary CareDriver status, you must claim and complete 80% of Rides for the eligible Ride Series each week. If you do not claim and complete 80% of the Rides on the series for two weeks in a row, you will lose Primary CareDriver status and be removed from the eligible Ride Series.
     
  6. HopSkipDrive does not guarantee the availability of eligible Ride Series.
     
  7. CareDrivers participating in a PCD+ Promotion may earn an additional bonus per Ride for each Ride completed in an eligible Ride Series during the Promotion Term.
     
  8. If a Ride Organizer cancels the eligible Ride Series prior to the conclusion of the Promotion Term, the CareDriver will receive the additional $10 per Ride completed on the eligible Ride Series through the time of the Ride Organizer’s cancellation provided that the CareDriver is still the Primary CareDriver on that eligible Ride Series at the time of cancellation.
     
  9. The maximum additional earnings available under a PCD+ Promotion during the Promotion Term is $516 per Eligible Ride Series, unless otherwise indicated. The maximum additional earnings under the PCD+ Pilot is $780 per Eligible Ride Series.
     
  10. Eligible Primary CareDriver Series are found under the “Primary CareDriver +” promotion on the “Go to Available Rides” page.
     

  11. CareDrivers participating in a PCD+ Promotion may participate in other promotions available to them.
