The following reminders will help ensure a safe and successful ride:
- Riders under the age of 12 are required to sit in the backseat
- Riders ages 12 and up who have been permitted to sit in the front seat will be listed via the app
- Food and drinks are not permitted during a ride
- Unauthorized stops or dropoffs are not permitted during a ride
- No individuals other than the listed CareDriver and rider(s) can accompany anyone on the ride
- No photos, videos, or recorded conversations should be taken of riders
- All rides must be performed in the approved vehicle listed on the CareDriver’s profile
- Decals must be visible for every HopSkipDrive ride and placed on the vehicle in accordance with state requirements
- HopSkipDrive orange branded t-shirts are strongly recommended as an additional layer of security
- Accidents or damage to a vehicle must be reported to HopSkipDrive immediately via phone or email
- The verification process must be performed prior to beginning the ride
- Late arrival to the pickup can result in the ride being removed and claimed by another CareDriver nearby
- CareDrivers are required by law to accommodate service animals and make other reasonable accommodations for riders with special needs
- Rides cannot be canceled and then reclaimed for a higher price when a ride opportunity is created. The estimated fare will be returned to the original amount and a CareDriver will lose the ability to receive these types of opportunities.
- Check-in must be completed within 60 to 90 minutes of the scheduled start time. Failure to check-in for a scheduled ride can lead to account removal from the HopSkipDrive platform
- A high cancellation rate can lead to account removal from the HopSkipDrive platform
- A low safety score can lead to account removal from the HopSkipDrive platform
- A low customer rating can lead to account removal from the HopSkipDrive platform
