This is a notice to all CareDrivers of rights available to the driver due to the WA-HB2076 law, effective January 1, 2023 with rates applicable to rides occurring in 2025.

All CareDrivers have a right to the following:
1: Minimum Compensation Rate:
All CareDrivers are entitled by WA-HB2076 to the greater compensation rate as follows:
WITHIN SEATTLE (or cities with a population of more than 600,000):
(A) $0.70 per passenger platform minute for all passenger platform time for that trip, and $1.63 per passenger platform mile for all passenger platform miles driven on that trip;
or
(B) A minimum of $6.12 per dispatched trip.
OUTSIDE OF SEATTLE:
(A) $0.40 per passenger platform minute and $1.38 per passenger platform mile; or
(B) A minimum of $3.55 per dispatched trip.
TRIPS starting outside Seattle but terminating within Seattle (or cities with a population of more than 600,000), or TRIPS starting inside Seattle but terminating outside Seattle:
For all passenger platform time, the compensation standard for within Seattle applies.
- Passenger Platform time means: period of time driver is transporting a passenger from passenger pickup location to passenger drop-off location.
- If your ride does not total enough to meet the minimum compensation above, the ride fare will be topped off to ensure minimum compensation is received. Any ride fare top ups, as well as rate per minute and mile are reflected within the App on your per ride and weekly ride receipts.
- Shared rides are treated as a single trip that starts when the first passenger enters the vehicle and ends when the last passenger exits. Additional passenger pickups/drop-offs during the trip are not calculated as separate rides, but are used to determine which minimum rates apply to the trip. The highest minimum rate applicable during any portion of a shared ride applies to the entire trip.
2: To be protected from retaliation for exercising in good faith rights protected by RCW 49.46.300 or associated rules.

3: To seek legal action or file a complaint with the department for violation of the requirements of RCW 49.46.300 or associated rules (see examples above), including a transportation network company's failure to pay the minimum per minute rate, per mile rate, or per trip rate, or a transportation network company's retaliation against a driver or other person for engaging in an activity protected by RCW 49.46.300 or associated rules.
4: Paid sick time. A driver must accrue at least one hour of paid sick time for every 40 hours of passenger platform time worked. Passenger platform time is defined as the period of time from when the first passenger enters the driver's vehicle until the time when the last passenger exits the driver's vehicle.
