All HopSkipDrive CareDrivers are required by law to accommodate service animals and make other reasonable accommodations for passengers with special needs.
Riders with Service Animals
The law states that drivers may not deny service or otherwise discriminate against passengers with service animals.
A CareDriver may ask two questions to verify that a Rider's animal is a service animal:
- Is the animal required because of a disability?
- What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?
CareDrivers with Service Animals
It is HopSkipDrive's policy that CareDrivers are permitted to ride with their service animals. However, this may limit the number of passengers you can carry, and some passengers may be uncomfortable around or allergic to your service animal.
We advise you to note that you have a service animal in your bio. We also recommend you call the Rider or Ride Organizer in advance to notify them of the service animal. If a Rider is unable to ride with your service animal, please call CareDriver support to be removed from the ride.
