If a rider gets sick during a ride
If you believe a rider requires urgent medical attention, call 911. See additional guidance on in-ride emergencies here.
If a rider experiences motion sickness or other non-emergency medical issues during a ride, do the following:
- If necessary, pull over to a safe location.
- Make sure the rider is okay and does not need medical attention.
- Contact HopSkipDrive immediately to make us aware of the reason for the unplanned stop. If necessary, HopSkipDrive support will contact the Caregiver or Ride Organizer to inform them of the situation.
- After completing the ride, clean up any mess. If there is any damage to the car, email Support within 24 hours of the incident. Learn more about what do to if a rider soils or damages your car here.
If you are concerned about transporting a sick rider
If a rider appears to be sick and you are concerned about your safety or the rider's safety, contact Support at 844-467-7547, option 1 for assistance.
