CareDrivers can be credited for road and bridge tolls incurred while transporting a rider or Rider Assistant. CareDrivers will not be credited for tolls incurred on the way to or from a ride (in other words, when there is no rider in the vehicle). Express lane tolls are not eligible for reimbursement.
For rides that are eligible for toll reimbursement, you will be automatically credited for the amount of any eligible tolls you incur while transporting a rider (more details on eligible tolls and tag amount reimbursement can be found below).
Which rides are eligible for toll credits?
When reviewing and claiming rides, rides with the toll icon are eligible for reimbursement.
When a ride is eligible for toll reimbursement, you will automatically be credited for the eligible toll costs you incur while you have a rider in the car. You will not be credited for tolls incurred before you have any riders in the car or for tolls for express lanes.
Rides that are not marked with a toll icon are not eligible for toll reimbursement. These rides will not include tolls in the mapped route shown in the app. If you choose to drive a route that includes tolls for a ride that is not eligible for reimbursement, you will be responsible for paying the toll.
How does toll reimbursement work?
When driving a ride that is eligible for toll reimbursement, pay the toll as usual through your local toll system. Tolls are reimbursed at the tag amount charged when you pay through the toll system. When you complete the ride, you will automatically be credited for the eligible toll amount. If you choose not to maintain an account with your local toll service provider, you will still only be reimbursed for the tag rate for the toll and not the standard toll rates for vehicles without a valid toll tag. You can view the credit amount on the ride summary as soon as the ride is complete. Toll credits will be included in your next weekly payment.

Review your toll credits
You can see the estimated credit amount for an individual ride on the Ride Summary as soon as you finish the ride. This is an estimate based on the mapped route and the tag toll amounts.
To review past toll credits, go to your Ride History. In Ride History, you can view the actual amount you were credited based on the actual route you drove. Select a week to see an overall summary of any toll amounts you were credited during that week.

Tap an individual ride to view the Ride Summary and see the specific toll amount for that ride.
How are toll credit amounts calculated?
When you claim a ride, you'll see an estimated toll amount shown in the toll icon. This is a rounded estimate based on the mapped route and the tag toll amounts.
Once you complete the ride, you'll see the estimated amount of the toll displayed in the Ride Summary.
You will be paid the actual tag amount for any tolls you incurred on the ride. The tag amount is the amount charged for paying through the toll system, rather than pay-by-mail or similar.
- If you drive a different route that does not include tolls you will not be credited for any tolls.
- If you drive a different route that includes additional tolls, you will be credited for those tolls as well. Keep in mind that this only applies to rides that are eligible for toll reimbursement.
