Can My Child Sit in the Front Seat?

We believe that the back seat is the safest place for all riders, regardless of age or height. However, if your rider is at least 4’9” tall and age twelve or older, you can grant permission for your rider to ride in the front seat, if desired. Regardless of permissions settings, CareDrivers can always choose to have a rider sit in the back seat if there is a seat available.

To manage whether or not your rider is allowed sit in the front seat, follow the steps below:

1. In the Caregiver app, tap Profile, then tap Riders.
    
2. Select the desired rider.
    
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, then tap the Ride in Front toggle to turn it on or off. Tap Save to confirm your changes.
