Payment for canceled rides varies depending on who canceled the ride and when.
Rides canceled by the CareDriver
As a CareDriver, you will not be paid for rides you cancel yourself. Canceling a ride may affect your cancellation rate and can affect your status as a Primary CareDriver. You can read more about canceling a ride you have claimed in this article.
Rides canceled by the Ride Organizer or Caregiver
Once you check in for a ride, you will be paid the full estimated fare if a Ride Organizer or Caregiver cancels the ride. The estimated fare is calculated at the time you check in for the ride.
If a ride is canceled before you check in, you will not receive any payment unless your ride is covered by HopSkipDrive's back-to-back ride Fare Protection. Learn more about fare protection for back-to-back rides here.
