In order to qualify to access the HopSkipDrive platform, prospective drivers must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Caregiving experience:
- Have caregiving experience with children
Vehicle and driving record:
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Have a good driving record
- Have three or more years of driving experience
- Own or lease a 4-door vehicle not more than 15 years old (10 years old in some areas)
- Show proof of vehicle registration
- Show proof of vehicle insurance consistent with state law
- The vehicle must pass an annual inspection by a certified mechanic
- The vehicle may not have a salvage or rebuilt title
Background and conduct:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Be able to pass a multi-agency background check, including fingerprinting
- Be able to pass a Child Abuse and Neglect scan
- Complete and pass a video screening
- Adopt and follow HopSkipDrive Community Guidelines
- Adopt and comply with HopSkipDrive Zero Tolerance Policies
