What are the steps to becoming a CareDriver?

Follow the steps below to become a CareDriver:

Sign Up

  1. First, sign up and submit your information to HopSkipDrive here.
    1. The sign up form entails submitting your basic information, answering qualifying questions and completing a brief written questionnaire

Submit required information

  1. Once your online application has been accepted, HopSkipDrive will request that you submit your required information before attending your in-person event.
    1. Provide documents; California Driver’s License, Insurance (your name and vehicle information must be listed), and Vehicle Registration
    2. Complete an online orientation

Attend in-person event

  1. Attend your CareDriver Connect, which is an in-person meeting with a HopSkipDrive team member
    1. Be fingerprinted to be added to the TrustLine registry
    2. Listen to a brief presentation and participate in a Q&A session
    3. Pass the 19-Point vehicle Inspection

After attending your in-person event

  1. Complete the final steps before activation
    1. Pass an online background check
    2. Pass a Driving Record Check
    3. Complete a W9
    4. Brush up on the online training
